Another Tuesday Night (10/27/15).

Today was supposedly "duct tape day" at YHS.

Here is Joe's duct tape shoes.

This cat was in front of my moms car meowing at me this morning.

We picked up some instruments. Here is this alto horn. I got it to work. There was a slit in the lead pipe near the mouthpiece. So I covered it up.

Here we are drilling away

Working on playing and marching together/in time.

Looking good!!

We need to work on step sizes.

The whole band.

Setting the parade block.

Circles.

More circles and lines.

Even more circles!!

Lines. Yay! (Hello Kyra... She's trying to hide from the camera).

I hope you enjoyed these pictures!
God bless you all!

The YHS Band At The 2015 Visalia Band Review (10/17/15).

Mr. Marquez talking about what we're supposed to do.

Meagan with her new "ring leader" outfit. She was missing the red coat, so I think that's why she didn't wear it at competition.

Getting onto the bus!

Smiles. This is the best picture yet!

The sun is almost ready to come up.

There it is!!

And there's the sun! It was really red!

Another view!

Almost there, and some people are awake.

The front of the bus!

After unloading, we got dressed and warmed up!

Audrey looks snazzy!

Trumpet section!

Drum line!!

Go Brass!

After a while, we headed on to the competition zones.

Looking good so far.

Looking good during the trio.

The trumpet section looks solid. We just need to work on the lines.

After several hours of "band"-ing, we headed home.

Everyone was so tired.

In order from left to right:

• 3rd place parade
• 3rd place field show
• 1st place drum majorette solo

Awesome job guys! It was also fun to see Sierra perform their field show! I almost cried when I saw the percussionist try to destroy the bass drum. 😭 :.(

Friday Night Rehearsal. ♫ (10/16/15).

Another rehearsal with the band! Fun stuff!!

Tuning the snare drum before the rehearsal to be ready for competition tomorrow.

People got here early to practice. Way to go! Good job Ryann and Allie!!

And... There's Ella.

Just relaxing before 5:30

Hanging out...some more...

New field show color guard outfits.

Way to go Brittany!

Beautiful skies.

Another Panoramic View of the sky. From a gorgeous blue sky to a pretty greenish colored sky. Kind of.

Joe adopted a lady bug that he named "David". I was being silly and called him Goliath. Get it? From the Bible [1 Samuel 17].

Tubas practicing with front ensemble and percussion.

Mr. Marquez directing.

It's awesome to play "A La Lune" with this in background! ;)

Go equipment crew!! You're awesome (Bree, Kris, Kelsey, and Me) (that rhymed)!!

"This is how we do it in band!" -Scotty & Kelsey.

Mr. Mierkey's scooter is harder to move than it looks.

Emily and Claire with pots on their heads.

How?! Why?! Don't tell me those are the new band shako's??!!

Joe was walking around my moms car with a stick in his hand and a dangerous look on his face.

He was trying to break into my car as well as Allie's (Not really).

I hope you all enjoyed rehearsal!! See you in a few hours!! Literally!!
